Kofi AdamsSports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams has directed the Ghana Football Association, led by Kurt Okraku, to replace the existing national team management committees with two broader structures.According to Sporty FM, the current management committees are to be replaced by one committee responsible for mens football and another responsible for womens football. The directive forms part of a seven-point restructuring plan following Fridays meeting between Adams and the GFA Executive Committee. The meeting came at a difficult time for Ghana football, with the Black Stars sitting bottom of Group C after losing their opening two 2027 AFCON qualifying matches.Ghana suffered a 2-0 defeat to Cote dIvoire in Bouak before losing 4-2 to The Gambia at the Accra Sports Stadium after taking a two-goal lead. The results were followed by the mutual termination of Carlos Queirozs contract on October 1.The ministrys directive means the changes will not be limited to the Black Stars technical team but will also affect the wider administrative structures supporting Ghanas national teams.Under the proposed arrangement, mens national teams would operate under a single management structure, while the womens national teams would have their own consolidated committee. The measure is intended to create a more streamlined national-team management system. The directive also comes alongside plans for a new National Technical Management Committee involving government and GFA representatives.
